Conquest of the New World
"I don't see why we need to bring _her_ along."
Former fiancee and now wife of Captain George Mason, this red-haired Avalonian girl found her way to the New World in the hands of former associates of George who had kidnapped her, apparently as an insurance policy. She was then taken prisoner by the Noyabento people near New Providence and George was forced to purchase her from the native chief at the cost of a musket and 20 rounds of powder and shot.
Mary-Margaret almost immediately insisted on getting married, at least in part because of her jealousy of Maria, whom she sees as a rival.
